Kielee and Derek met through mutual friends many years before they began dating. These two love birds enjoy traveling; from exploring the underwater world while scuba diving to attending beer festivals in Europe or finding new trails to hike right here in Arizona. Derek took advantage of their travels and popped the question to Kielee while taking a sunset walk on the beach in Kauai! They will tie the knot with a ceremony at the Mogollon Rim lookout point just outside of Payson this June. Kielee says “We plan to keep our gathering elegant, but comfortable and intimate. We are most looking forward to celebrating this new beginning with the people who have supported us in our journey to marriage. “
Derek is a huge vintage car and motorcycle builder and enthusiast. The silver bike pictured in the photos is a 1976 Suzuki GT 750. There were only a handful of these bikes imported to the US in the mid ‘70’s and even fewer still exist on the roads today; it is a highly collectible and sought after motorcycle. The red bike is a 1979 Honda CX 500. Honda produced this bike in limited numbers and it is now one of the most coveted “cafe racer” motorcycles. In the spirit of a true cafe racer, Derek styled this bike to reflect a period-correct version of the bike. Along with the motorcycles pictured, he also likes to build a 60’s era Ford Mustangs and currently has a 1966 Mustang that he built from the frame up.
Their engagement photographer is Sarah Robinson of Sunshyne Pix, and we love how she took Derek’s interests and blending it into a stunning engagement session with his beautiful future bride Kielee.
