Abbas and Ariana’s Chateau Luxe Wedding

Posted on March 30, 2020 by Editor

Abbas and Ariana met in their high school freshman class when they were 14 and became friends. Today, almost 10 years later, they are best friends who are celebrating the beginning of their life together in marriage. They love to discover new restaurants, but also appreciate a cozy stay-in for movie and cooking night together.

During their time of planning the wedding, the desired look was a light and bright feel to the evening, to have guests feel as if they are on clouds. Ariana had one main thought: simple was more. And because her dress was a lot more than simple, she had to balance out the room; a handmade wedding dress in lilac from Pakistan, covered entirely with silver embellishments of flowers, leaves and moons. The design was known as a Shararah, which entails a full-length dress with a long skirt underneath. It took six months to prepare.

The venue Chateau Luxe, was decided based on its magnificent chandelier work, stunning outdoor views, and openness to catering for guests with restrictions. In a more intimate and cultural ceremony that Abbas and Ariana had prior to the wedding, Ariana’s mother decorated the room with baby’s breath and white wisteria orchids, presenting an airy ambiance to the room. Ariana knew that no matter how much time had passed, the baby’s breath could last forever and resembled their love for each other. That was when the florals were decided entirely for the reception. In the end, guests were gifted with a heart-shaped “seed bomb” that contained instructions for growing a plant when soiled, watered and put in sunlight. Abbas and Ariana viewed their love like trees: growing more and more each day when taken care of, with nurturing, support and happiness. For this, they wanted to spread this thought to their loved ones as well, by putting at the top of the favor, “May Love Grow”. It was a beautiful evening filled with great food, kindred spirits, a mix of Iranian-Pakistani cultures, and dancing the night away.
